NetOn.Live Showcases Latest Features of LiveOS Production Platform at IBC 2024

Following a dynamic year in live production, capped by the Paris summer games, LiveOS continues to advance the capabilities of local, remote, and decentralized media production.

Brussels, Belgium, August 27, 2024—At IBC 2024, on booth 10.C12, NetOn.Live will introduce the latest features to its LiveOS video-over-IP production platform. The new capabilities include an enhanced sports workflow and a universal multiviewer, further enabling local, remote, and decentralized live media production on COTS IT servers in a SMPTE 2110 network.

LiveOS, well-known for its flexibility, adaptability, and scalability, has become a go-to solution for a wide array of productions, including sports, news, talk shows, entertainment, conferencing, and more. The new features and latest updates to LiveOS include:

  • Universal Multiviewer: A highly customizable and high-density tool that offers unparalleled flexibility for monitoring multiple sources. Users can create their own layouts, configure audio meters, under monitor displays (UMDs), clocks and counters, tally, and on-air information.
  • Sports Workflow: Building on LiveOS’s already robust capabilities, the sports workflow now features a dedicated slow-mo panel, highlights playlists, and time-based keyword logging, which enables slow-mo operators to add metadata to their clips while they are creating them. Each input of the slow-mo has its own preview and program output.
  • Automation Engine: The latest iteration of the automation engine comes with enhanced feedback dashboarding, offering real-time insights and control to optimize production workflows.
  • Production Design Tool: Significant upgrades to the production design tool further streamline the process of creating and managing complex media workflows, enabling faster turnaround times and greater production efficiency.

“As NetOn.Live celebrates its third year in the market, the company has firmly established itself as a trusted partner by top-tier sports and entertainment broadcasters and corporate production companies,” said Michel De Wolf, CEO of NetOn.Live. “Our commitment to improving workflow efficiency while guiding customers on their path to IP and software production continues to drive our innovative development.”

Proven Success and Growing Adoption

LiveOS has been widely adopted across diverse production types, including sports, news, MCR, and playout, with more customers expanding their systems to take advantage of the platform’s capabilities. The crucial role LiveOS has played in high-profile events, such as the summer games, has underscored its capacity to meet the rigorous demands of top-tier sports production.

“We built the whole Paris summer games infrastructure on our LiveOS platform, which allowed us to build new productions faster and more flexibly than ever,” said Martijn Reymen, Studio Infrastructure Team Lead at VRT in Brussels.
